As parents and community members who want what’s best for our children, we know our schools need improvement. We are not for the “status quo.” We are however, vehemently against new reform policies that are destroying the very fabric of equitable public education.
We are dedicated to informing our community in order to provoke thought, stimulate dialogue, and foster positive action in education.
Our goals are to:
Expose the conversations about education reform that use language to reflect core educational values but result in contradicting policy and practice.
Show that public education, as a means to create a positive community through the fostering and challenging of children’s talents and knowledge, has been in a state of crisis due to recent educational reform policy and practice.
Utilize PAABR as a platform to inform and empower parents to advocate for their children.
Unite parents, educators and community members to positively impact educational policy and practice to genuinely reflect our core educational values.
